Class Rules and Regulations
Timing:
Class Duration 1 Hour. Students should arrive 5 minutes ahead of time.
Dress Code:
Strict dress code is followed in our academy. Students should wear a Bindhi. Student's hair must be pulled back in either a bun or braid and should be neatly groomed for class.
Discipline :
Every week, Students are expected to practice their steps and complete their homework assignments. All students will be given theory and projects which correlate with the dance lessons. Parents will not be allowed inside the class. Attendance is very important in order to receive the best dance education possible.
Queries and Concerns :
We encourage families to share their suggestions and requests. Kindly email in advance so that a time frame is kept aside for you. Any important information shared during, before or after class is disruptive to other students.
Dance Sessions:
September to June is our regular dance year. Except for long weekends and Christmas Holidays, there will be no additional break given to any student. We also provide Summer classes or dance workshops for July and August.
Tuition Fee:
Fees will be due by 10th of every month. Any delayed payments will have $10 late fee charge.
Make Up Classes:
If a class is missed by a student, there will be no Makeup session for the missed class.
Makeup classes / Rescheduling will be done for inclement weather and long weekends. It is the responsibility of the parent to inform the Guru about a student's absence in an email, phone or text.
Bharatanatyam like any other discipline requires daily practice of minimum 30 minutes. Students should focus on expressions, mudras, posture and encouraging atmosphere at our school and home.
